Got Vans on Lease? Be Careful

The bad thing about the crisis and recession is that they have many faces and sorts of impact upon various areas of a companies’ performance. And for fleets and users of vans, two sorts of costs seem to be of high importance today. First it is the cost of fuel. Next is the cost of leasing as most commercial vehicles are purchased via financing options. In times of recession a new business trend has been spotted at van leasing companies. Everyone is trying those days to cut their overheads and so do enterprises dealing with lease of vans and other commercial vehicles. The most common form of reducing expenditure is sometimes lowering the level of essential routine maintenance and servicing. Such actions have been noticed by some watchdog organisations and they have announced a sort of public warning to fleet operators and owners of vans. The message is simple- please keep a close watch on the maintenance regimes of your daily rental suppliers. This state of things was also confirmed by several companies dealing with commercial vehicle servicing. They won new clients who decided to dispense with services provided by their present van leasing companies as those did not seem to take the maintenance of vans as seriously as they should. Fleet manager and individuals shall then look carefully at daily activities of their rental suppliers as the law on their side.
